12th International Conference on Thrombosis & Hemostasis Issues in Cancer

We are going to the 12th International Conference on Thrombosis & Hemostasis Issues in Cancer in Bergamo, Italy!

Some members of the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research Group will be attending this year's 12th International Conference on Thrombosis & Hemostasis in Patients with Cancer in Bergamo, Italy from 17.-19.5.2024 actively participate. Dr. med. univ. Cornelia Englisch will give a short presentation on her current research project "Growth differentiation factor-15 is associated with risk of major bleeding in cancer patients without anticoagulation: results from a prospective cohort study" and Dr. med. Nikola Vladic will present a poster about his research his research work "Performance of established VTE risk assessment
models for the prediction of all-cause mortality in patients with cancer - results from a prospective cohort study". In addition Prof. Dr. med. univ. Ingrid Pabinger-Fasching will hold a plenary debate to discuss the need for more specific and complex risk stratification risk stratification models for cancer-associated thrombosis.

68th Annual Meeting of the GTH 2024 (Society for Thrombosis and Hemostasis Research)

The 68th Annual Meeting of the GTH (Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research) 2024, organized by Univ.-Prof. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Cihan Ay (Department of Internal Medicine I) and Prof. Dr. Christoph Male-Dressler (Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine), will take place from the 27th of February to the 1st of March 2024 in the Vienna Hofburg. The Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research Group of the Division of Haematology and Haemostaseology will play a prominent role in this context. The group will make a significant contribution to the scientific program with a total of 17 abstracts and 11 oral communications presenting the latest research findings in the fields of thrombosis and haemostasis.
