The Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine outpatient clinics and the Clinic 6i reception desk can be found on level 6 at University Hospital Vienna.
Every year, we diagnose and treat numerous patients suffering from fevers of unknown origin, tropical and parasitic diseases, fungal and viral infections, as well as other types of bacterial infection. We have extensive experience of organising and providing inpatient, intravenous antimicrobial treatments (including for heart valve and bone inflammations, which in many cases can only be cured by administering antibiotics intravenously over a period of several weeks or months). Our clinics care for patients with non-infectious inflammatory conditions, including familial Mediterranean fever. The Division also has a clinic which is specialised in the treatment of chronic wounds.
